Central to the self-defense timeline — establishes physical contact by Metcalf occurred before Anthony's use of force. Does not by itself establish reasonableness of a DEADLY force response to a push (see legal-issues-ledger.md "tx-deadly-force-standard-analysis").

A single push, without more, is the kind of contact that Texas appellate courts have found insufficient to justify deadly force in at least one same-appellate-district case (see legal-issues-ledger.md "tx-caselaw-stuart-v-state-2024" for a structurally comparable, though not factually identical, precedent).
